Sixth Day

Act of Contrition
My Lord Jesus Christ, true God and true Man, Creator, Father and Redeemer of mine, for being who You are, infinite Goodness, and because I love You above all things, I am heartily sorry for having offended You. I am also sorry because You can punish me with the pains of hell. Aided by Your divine grace, I firmly resolve never to sin again, to confess my sins, and to fulfill the penance imposed upon me. Prayer for Every Day
O God, who out of love for us sent Your Divine Son as our Savior and Redeemer, we ask that through the merits of His infancy, our faith may increase and we may abound in good works. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
Sixth Day - The Word of God
"People were bringing children to him that he might touch them, but the disciples rebuked them. When Jesus saw this he became indignant and said to them: Let the children come to me; do not prevent them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Amen, I say to you, whoever does not accept the kingdom of God like a child will not enter it. Then he embraced them and blessed them, placing his hands on them." (Mk. 10:13-16)
Reflection
The message that Jesus brings for us today is this: That we receive with joy, simplicity, and good will the Word of God, without hindering divine action, convinced that God loves us and that His word brings us a message of salvation, and that God is a loving Father who does not want the condemnation of the sinner, but rather that they make an effort to set their life right and be saved.
Purpose
I will frequently read the Holy Gospel; I will meditate on the teachings that Jesus gives me and I will strive to order my life according to those teachings.
Community Prayer
Enlightened by the Word of God, let us make our petitions:
That Jesus may make us docile to His divine teachings. Hear us, Lord.
That, if it is His will, the Lord may grant us what we ask for in this novena. Hear us, Lord.

Stanzas
Here in Your Sanctuary with faith and prayer, we all ask for our conversion.
Young and old in great procession, we come joyfully to make our offering.
All the youth with great conviction, radiant with longing go to the Savior.
May our families like Nazareth, come to know its great virtues.
That we love all, the Lord commands us, with all the strength that we love God.
That at the end of my life with Your protection, I may have the joy of my salvation.
Final Prayer
We ask You, Lord, to help us become convinced that to know Christ, we need to read with devotion the Holy Gospel which must be the norm of our lives. We ask this through Christ our Lord.
